I've been showcasing some lookbooks and collections from different brands for Spring 2013 over the past few days so I thought I'd switch things up a bit. I am in no way well versed in spotting trends just yet but I CAN give you some visuals of the trends that I'm absolutely in love with. What I'm about to show you is merely an opinion of my taste but who knows, maybe I'll become a trend forecaster one day too lol!

1. Camouflage Print

  • Some people have made it clear that this print is rather cliche now and they'd rather see it go out of style. HOWEVER I absolutely love the way that this print can either be dressed up or down depending on the wearer. You can center extremely chic clothing/accessories around this print OR for a more casual look, you can wear it with sneakers/timberland boots and a cute, slouchy shirt or pant. Here are some looks below that showcase different ways that this print can be worn.

2. Stripes

  • I'm aware that this trend is another one that makes some people roll their eyes but I must say that I've fallen victim to loving it. Again, this look can be dressed up or down, depending on the wearer. Personally I would prefer to dress the print "up" because of it's design and pattern. Here are some looks that showcase how others personally wear this trend.

3. Natural Hair

  • I don't consider the natural hair movement to be a trend because it's literally the natural hair texture that an African American woman was born with. African American women have always been known for their versatile styles and now more are embracing their natural roots. It's a beautiful movement and there are many ways that one can wear their natural hair. Take a look below.

4. Stiletto Nails

  • Yes, that's right. The ultimate "claws" that a woman can wear has made it onto my list lol. I was initially spooked this trend first emerged because like so many others, I wondered why a woman would want something so scary-looking on the tips of her fingers??? However, I started to realize that this  trend was developing pushing the envelope against your average manicure and acrylic, square nails. The stiletto nails literally scream fashion and style with an array of different lengths and designs. Take a quick below!
