I originally posted a style post earlier in the week but I decided to scrap it because I didn't put any effort into it. Don't get me wrong, I loved my look that day but I genuinely wasn't in the best mood that day, despite being excited about finding out that I'll be going to New York. I'm sure that you have a good idea of my writing style/voice by now which means that I'm sure you can tell when I'm not as enthusiastic as I'm trying to make myself out to be. Yes, I still try to put my best foot forward even when I feel horrible. It happens.

Any who, you won't have to worry about that with today's post lol! Despite the somewhat dreary and cold weather, I decided to venture to a little shopping plaza near my neighborhood. Since I hadn't been to Ulta in a while, I wanted to see what I could find. I don't always keep up with my reward points at Ulta but apparently my points added up again so of course I had to take advantage of that. Usually I only purchase 1 of 3 three things: lipstick by Nyx Cosmetics, Tea Tree Facial Cleanser by The Body Shop or something by Carol's Daughter. Since I already have facial cleanser and enough hair products to last me for a while, I decided to browse for new lipstick. If it's only going to cost me between $1-2 because of my reward points then why not? I have been trying to break away from wearing dark berry lipstick but it's been so hard! How can you not love dark lipstick? Okay, my mom hates it on me but that doesn't matter lol. I was able to find two amazing things by Nyx Cosmetics and they are exactly what I've been searching for.

I couldn't find a link to the eye and eyebrow pencil that I picked up but if you stop by your local Ulta store, you'll be able to find plenty of them.

Since the weather has decided that it wants to be damp and chilly again (-_-), I decided to wear my trusted camel coat, a cozy tee and chinos. Never mind the fact that I also chose to wear open-toed wedge heels lol. I wanted to be a little more on the casual today and as far as I'm concerned, I pulled it off. It really depends on my mood but my take on "casual wear" varies. There are days where I'll be completely fine wearing the basic t-shirt + jeans look and there are days where I want to spice things up a bit, like today.
