I thought that it would be nice to switch gears with today's posts. My last couple of posts were a mixture of me ranting and being somber but I'm slowly moving away from that. What better way to do than share a few beauty items that I managed to pick up this month? It's very rare that I share a haul with you but I can't deny that they're fun. Let's jump right into it shall we?

As you will come to find out, my hair is once again in a protective style. Since I had to rush back home to Florida, I didn't pack any of my natural hair essentials and I needed to make sure that my hair was protected from the harsh, humid weather. My extensions were installed by a close family friend and she introduced me to the OGX Nourishing Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist (pictured on the left). OMG! I fell in love with the scent instantly and I later fell in love with the fact that this oil mist is actually hydrating. It has the power to make hair come back to life without weighing it down! I dare say that it lives up to it's name.

I couldn't help but to purchase something else from the OGX line so I stopped by ULTA to pick up the Hydate + Repair Argan Oil of Morocco Miracle In-Shower Oil. I've been primarily using it to oil my scalp in between washes and so far, I like it. The only minor problem that I have with this product is that the oil can leave my fingers pretty slippery after tightening the cap. However, the bottle does mention that surfaces can become slippery after use. I can't say that I wasn't warned lol!

Now, I admit that I was extremely skeptical about purchasing a new shampoo and conditioner but I decided to give it a shot after purchasing the accompanying spray mist. I won't lie and say that I'm not a natural ingredient snob but I decided to take a chance on this set anyway. Long story short, I've been converted thus far but the real test will be to see how my natural hair responds!

I'm still a sucker for a great dark lipstick and I couldn't resist buying two more shades from my favorite brand, NYX Cosmetics. The shade on the left is Dahlia and the shade on the right is Temptress. I'm sure this says absolutely nothing about my personality lol.

Last but certainly not least comes my absolutely favorite mascara. Ironically I was with my biological dad when I purchased this item so you can imagine how that conversation went lol. Again, I thought this product would be a lot of bluff because I've tried different mascaras and I lumped them all in the same category, "it'll do". However, this mascara? It is the best, hands down! It elongates and thickens my eyelashes, something I absolutely adore.

So far, the above beauty products have become my staples for Spring. I'm not sure if my "regimen" will change next season but we'll see! Be sure to share your beauty staples down below!
