Good morning! Today brings about a brand new Style Spotlight feature and, as usual, I am excited to introduce them to you. Somewhere in between working and going to school full-time, I still find a way to devote myself to finding style inspiration to share with you. I dare say that I have grown attached to doing so and it seems that you enjoy this series so it's a win, win situation!

I stumbled across today's feature while browsing Lookbook and deciding to pay her blog a visit. I found myself immediately drawn to her minimalistic approach to creating looks and I felt that her style is quite refreshing. There is something to be said about anyone who can command attention with a monochromatic look and Sylvie Mus proves just how in command she truly is. I try not to use the word "classic" too often to describe someone's personal style but for today's feature, I'm willing to make an exception. The great thing about Sylvie's style is that she isn't afraid to take risks and pair structured clothing with more relaxed pieces in her wardrobe.
I always think that it's more fun to allow Style Spotlight features to describe their style in their own words and I couldn't resist asking Sylvie Mus to do so. See what she had to say about her personal style below:

Nai’s Visions: Thank you for allowing me to feature you within the Style Spotlight series. Before we begin, can you tell the readers a little about yourself?

My name is Sylvie Mus and I’m a 24 year old fashion blogger from Rwanda living in Helsinki, Finland.

NV: At what point would you say that you began to cultivate the sense of style that you have today?

My sense of  style came very naturally. It wasn't a decision I made one day to start dressing this way, but I think over the years I've tried so many looks and at some point I found the things that I like that really work for me.

NV: How would you describe your sense of style and what are some of the things, if any, that have shaped it?

My sense of style is minimal, versatile and sometimes androgynous. I think one thing that has shaped my sense of style is confidence and knowing that I don’t have to impress anyone with what I wear. And also fashion magazines sometimes inspire me to try something new.

NV: Do you feel that the style that you have today will continue to evolve over time? Why or why not?

Definitely! I think it’s always good to try something new and let your style evolve over time, so you don’t get stuck with the same look. But also I think there are some things that make your style your own and those things shouldn't be left behind.

NV: Off of the top of your head, what are 5 items in your closet that you feel the most drawn to?

I have to say I feel the most drawn to my blue denim skinny jeans, black suede office heels, a fresh white shirt, ripped boyfriend jeans and the trench coats!

NV: Last but not least, if you could share one piece of style advice with your younger self, what would it be?

Don’t be too concerned about trends and what everyone else is wearing. And to just wear what makes you feel confident and happy!
