Since I couldn't wait to take a new pair of heels out for a spin, I decided Saturday would be the perfect day to do that. When I saw first saw this pair of heels, I had to really contemplate if they were worth buying. I'm trying to be more disciplined when it comes to shopping because I realized I have the habit of buying items that I'm not absolutely in love with (meaning they're usually given away within a year). After coming to the realization that I have multiple rose colored items in my closet, including two jackets, I decided they were definitely worth the purchase + they were on sale on Lilly Kloset's website and the shipping process was fairly quick!

I decided to pair this pair of heels with a pair of distressed skinny jeans, my beloved chambray shirt, duster coat and my cute, mini cross body bag from Coach. I've never been big on "splurging" on name brand bag (just give me something cute and I'll make it work) and I probably never will but this bag was too cute for me to pass up. If you know me outside of the blogosphere then you may remember that I used to carry around a large animal print satchel that I was in love with. My sister bought it for me when we were at Baker's and I carried it for years...until it started to fade. *Insert 1-2 years of searching for the perfect replacement and sheer joy when a salesman helps me find the perfect one*.

Making things work has been a huge part of my life and it's funny that I'm more conscious of how it's bled into my personal style as an adult. I figure I can either complain my way through life or I can change my perspective in spite of what's going on. Here's to continuing to make it work.
