I've been slowly making a few changes to what I gravitate towards buying lately and I've found out that I'm happier when I buy items that I absolutely LOVE, and can see myself wearing multiple times. I feel like one can never own too many basic tops and denim so that's what I've been "splurging" on lately. Because this past weekend revolved around Valentine's Day (okay, not really), I couldn't resist wearing this top I purchased from American Apparel. Never mind the fact I decided to disregard how cold it was Saturday. I DID opt for wearing two different outerwear so that I wouldn't freeze entirely so there's my excuse lol. Since I haven't worn my camel coat in a while, I felt this would be the perfect outfit to wear it with.

I spent my Saturday morning at the nail salon then I ventured to a shopping plaza known as The Shoppes at Webb Ginn to do a bit of browsing and I somehow wound up at Barnes & Noble. Sunday was spent alternating between meditating, relaxing, cleaning and pampering myself. Think the ultimate spa day at home. That may not sound entirely romantic but it was my little treat to myself and we all know how much of an advocate for "treating oneself" I am lol. I realize that I probably could save a lot more if I eliminate shopping for a while so I also treated myself to putting more money in savings just because.

Although Valentine's Day is just another day, I couldn't help but reflect on how much I've made room for love in my life. Two years ago, I was only focused on the romantic aspect of love but over time I've realized that love is much more than that. It requires you to give all of yourself to others whether it's to family, friends, a boyfriend/girlfriend and even yourself. It's one of the most beautiful things in the world and I'm grateful that it exists. Here's to being open to love in all capacities :) .
