We're just a few days from Friday and fall! This also mean my birthday is in 6 days but let's not jump ahead of ourselves too much lol. Can you believe how much time has flown by? It seems like so much has happened this year and I can't say that all of it has been fun. Either way, I'm sure we've all learned some pretty valuable lessons thus far. I'll save that for another post but today's post is sort of two-fold. It features my OOTD (outfit of the day) no doubt but it also features products I am enamored with. If you've been keeping up with me on Instagram and Snapchat then you probably know which products I'm referring to. If you guessed Fenty Beauty then you're absolutely right.

Fenty Beauty has changed the makeup game and my entire makeup routine. I kept debating if I wanted to purchase anything but truthfully I was being a little snobby about the hype surrounding the brand. After getting over myself, I settled for buying:
Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer, $32; Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation - Shade 420, $34; Match Stix Matte Skinstick - Cocoa, $25; Glossier's Wowder - Rich, $22; Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer, $18
Since I'm wearing such a soft look (yes the foundation lives up to it's promise of having a soft matte finish), I decided to shimmy into this soft fall look. This coat is from H&M and it's another one of my absolute go to fall coats. In my honest opinion, H&M makes stylish yet inexpensive coats that can be worn year after year if you take care of them. I threw it over a white off shoulder bodysuit, distressed jeans and slid into a pair of faux croc heels to top things off. Since it's merely cool in the morning, layering comes in handy.
Now back to my makeup situation lol. I've pretty much been using Fenty Beauty products with the exception of one product, Glossier's Wowder, and my skin haw never felt happier. I don't feel like I'm wearing layers of makeup nor does my face feel oily after I apply the Pro Filt'r Instant Retouch Primer and Pro Filt'r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. I did purchase the beauty blender as well and, wow, I've been living under a rock. This is the best my makeup has ever looked in my opinion which means Fenty Beauty will be getting my coins for a long time. It's actually pretty funny but my favorite makeup brands that have products that I truly love are owned by black women (again with the exception of Glossier). Maybe that says something *side eye*.

Whatever the case, I'm all for supporting a brand that truly takes into consideration that more than a certain target market may want to try their products. Diversity is more than a marketing tool and too often brands will amp up the hype around their "diverse" products by featuring models of color but we need more than hype. We need things that are actually going to complement our various skin tones AND undertones. In my opinion, Rihanna and her team are absolute geniuses for creating a brand that acknowledges that.
